About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Compound prescriptions with precision and care, strictly adhering to USP <797> and other relevant regulatory standards
  • Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure timely and accurate medication verification and distribution
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to manage medication orders, records, and the sterile compounding workflow
  • Oversee and replenish medication supplies, managing inventory related to sterile products
  • Engage in research activities to improve compounding techniques, develop new formulations, or investigate emerging therapies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree
  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
  • Current Sterile Compounding Certification
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience in sterile pharmacy practice
  • Expert proficiency in USP <797> standards for sterile compounding and adherence to relevant cGMP regulations
  • Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills for team collaboration
  • IV Certification (strongly preferred)
  • Experience working in a 503A or 503B specialized compounding environment
