PRN Sterile Compounding Pharmacist, Part Time, Morning Shift
Southend PharmacyPRN Sterile Compounding Pharmacist responsible for compounding sterile medications at Southend Pharmacy. Collaborating with pharmacy technicians and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Compound prescriptions with precision and care, strictly adhering to USP <797> and other relevant regulatory standards
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure timely and accurate medication verification and distributions
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to manage medication orders, records, and the sterile compounding workflow
- Oversee and replenish medication supplies, managing inventory related to sterile products
- Engage in research activities to improve compounding techniques, develop new formulations, or investigate emerging therapies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pharm.D or Bachelors in Pharmacy
- Ability to work PRN, Part-time as needed shift (Weekends Saturday/Sunday)
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in sterile pharmacy practice
- Expert proficiency in USP <797> standards for sterile compounding and adherence to relevant cGMP regulations
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills for team collaboration
- ACPE/IV Certification (preferred)
- Experience working in a 503A or 503B specialized compounding environment (preferred)
