Sterile Pharmacist – Afternoon (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Southend PharmacySterile Pharmacist responsible for compounding medications at Southend Pharmacy. Ensure precision in sterile compounding and compliance with regulatory standards in a modern pharmacy environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Compound prescriptions with precision and care, strictly adhering to USP <797> and other relevant regulatory standards
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure timely and accurate medication verification and distributions
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to manage medication orders, records, and the sterile compounding workflow.
- Oversee and replenish medication supplies, managing inventory related to sterile products
- Engage in research activities to improve compounding techniques, develop new formulations, or investigate emerging therapies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Healthcare Administration, or a related healthcare or science discipline.
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
- Current Sterile Compounding Certification
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in sterile pharmacy practice
- Expert proficiency in USP <797> standards for sterile compounding and adherence to relevant cGMP regulations
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills for team collaboration.
- Preferred Requirements: IV Certification
- Experience working in a 503A or 503B specialized compounding environment
- Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree
