Sterile Pharmacist, Mid Shift
Southend PharmacySterile Pharmacist responsible for compounding sterile medications at Southend Pharmacy. Collaborating with technicians and adhering to regulatory standards in a innovative pharmacy environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborating closely with pharmacy technicians to ensure the safe and accurate compounding and distribution of sterile medications
- Compounding prescriptions with precision and care, strictly adhering to USP <797> and other relevant regulatory standards
- Verifying the accuracy of prescriptions and ensuring timely and accurate medication verification and distributions
- Managing medication orders, records, and the sterile compounding workflow
- Overseeing and replenishing medication supplies, managing inventory related to sterile products
- Engaging in research activities to improve compounding techniques, develop new formulations, or investigate emerging therapies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
- Current Sterile IV Compounding Certification
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in sterile pharmacy practice
- Expert proficiency in USP <797> standards for sterile compounding and adherence to relevant cGMP regulations
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills for team collaboration
- Preferred: Experience working in a 503A or 503B specialized compounding environment
