About the role
- Under the direction of the South College General Education Department, the adjunct instructor of HUM1550: Leadership Development will provide asynchronous instruction for their courses.
- Instructors prep courses, develop supplemental instructional materials, communicate with faculty lead on subject matter, commit to student retention and success, and evaluate student progress.
- This position will report to the Associate Dean of General Education.
- Collect all assessment data related to student learning outcomes.
- Maintain an equitable system of student evaluation based on sound practices in accordance with the course syllabus.
- Meet all South College Faculty Expectations, including those related to grading deadlines, student outreach, and course presence.
- Project an appropriate professional image.
- Enforce all South College rules and policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of a master’s degree in relevant field (educational leadership, organizational leadership, etc.) OR A master's degree in another field plus completion of 18 graduate level semester hours in a relevant field.
- Terminal degree preferred
- Prior teaching experience in an online environment preferred
- Proficient in the written and oral communication of the English language
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, EXCEL, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Canvas LMS preferred
