About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the operational management and oversight of multiple Sound Physicians' hospitalist programs in an assigned region
Have a visible presence at several program locations and establish professional relationships with hospitalist team and C-suite executives
Manage a team of direct reports that support day to day operations of successful Hospitalist Programs
Report to a Regional Vice President with accountability to the Regional Chief Medical Officer(s)
Initiate and lead content discussions and preparations for Joint Operations Committee, Monthly Performance Reviews, and other hospital partner interactions
Review content for final sign-off of all client-facing templates
Meet regularly with Medical Directors to review site performance
Build strong relationships with the C-Suite at each hospital partner in assigned region
Final oversight for day-to-day site operations including payroll, credentialing, human resources, and recruiting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration or similar field
6-8 years' experience working with healthcare operational management, including financial statements and working knowledge of hospital and healthcare informatics, including quality measures
3-4 years' experience managing a physician group practice
Knowledge of Process Improvement methodology; LEAN-Six Sigma for healthcare training is desirable
Knowledge of relevant state and federal healthcare regulations
Working knowledge of healthcare payment models, physician practice management, revenue cycle, payer contracting and managed care models
Knowledge of Hospital Medicine landscape and market forces driving the hospitalist model of care
Understanding of hospitalist physician recruiting, marketing and compensation issues
