About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the operational management and oversight of multiple Sound Physicians' hospitalist programs in an assigned region
- Have a visible presence at several program locations and establish professional relationships with hospitalist team and C-suite executives
- Manage a team of direct reports that support day to day operations of successful Hospitalist Programs
- Report to a Regional Vice President with accountability to the Regional Chief Medical Officer(s)
- Initiate and lead content discussions and preparations for Joint Operations Committee, Monthly Performance Reviews, and other hospital partner interactions
- Review content for final sign-off of all client-facing templates
- Meet regularly with Medical Directors to review site performance
- Build strong relationships with the C-Suite at each hospital partner in assigned region
- Final oversight for day-to-day site operations including payroll, credentialing, human resources, and recruiting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration or similar field
- 6-8 years' experience working with healthcare operational management, including financial statements and working knowledge of hospital and healthcare informatics, including quality measures
- 3-4 years' experience managing a physician group practice
- Knowledge of Process Improvement methodology; LEAN-Six Sigma for healthcare training is desirable
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal healthcare regulations
- Working knowledge of healthcare payment models, physician practice management, revenue cycle, payer contracting and managed care models
- Knowledge of Hospital Medicine landscape and market forces driving the hospitalist model of care
- Understanding of hospitalist physician recruiting, marketing and compensation issues
