Serve as executive partner to CEO and leadership team, providing financial information and operational analytics
Develop and steward Sound’s financial strategy to maximize revenue growth while moving towards near-term profitability
Lead FP&A including annual operating budgets, cash and working capital (A/R, A/P) management, forecasts, budget-variance process, and scenario analyses
Represent financial performance to the Board, lead Risk & Audit Sub-Committee, and attend Board meetings
Oversee audits, budgeting, monthly performance reporting, cash runway strategies, and ad hoc financial analysis
Connect financial health to manufacturing and supply operations; support logistics, warehousing, and returns
Optimize supply and demand forecasts, improve S&OP process, and lead supply chain strategy for new markets (LATAM and EU)
Engage in manufacturing partnerships and support M&A opportunities
Manage corporate and commercial legal activities and company vendors
Supervise finance and accounting team and manage legal and IT vendors; reports to the CEO
Requirements
Experience leading finance and accounting functions at companies with a manufacturing component and/or physical supply chain (non-negotiable)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management required
Master’s degree or CPA a strong plus
Experience with new product launches and international market entry with direct accountability over key financial and/or operating metrics
Polished financial modeling and presentation skills
Strong critical thinking and high attention to detail
Supply chain experience, specifically agriculture industry or chemical industry corollary
Experience with audits, budgeting, cash and working capital management, forecasting, and scenario analysis
Experience managing legal and IT vendors and supervising finance and accounting teams
Authorized to work in the United States; company participates in E-Verify
