About the role

  • Manage and oversee global month-end and year-end general ledger close processes for all global entities
  • Prepare and review income statement reconciliations and substantiate financial balances
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and automation
  • Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies
  • Support internal and external audits globally with accurate documentation
  • Oversee financial management of capital projects: monitor budgets, manage cost codes, and track project expenditure
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and ensure proper capitalization per accounting standards
  • Apply project costing principles including retention accounting and progress billing for internal construction projects
  • Ensure correct application of withholding tax (TDS) and maintain documentation for statutory reporting
  • Proactively resolve financial queries from senior management and perform ad-hoc analyses
  • Manage SEZ related compliances and filings

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • 7+ years of overall experience in a finance role in a fast-paced environment
  • 2+ years managerial experience handling a dynamic team
  • Strong leadership qualities and proactive mindset toward continuous improvement
  • Sound technical accounting knowledge and extensive knowledge in accounting under relevant accounting standards
  • Prior experience in financial accounting and reporting
  • Exposure to project-based accounting for internal construction/internal construction projects (added advantage)
  • Knowledge of project costing principles including retention accounting, progress billing, and WIP
  • Experience with withholding tax (TDS) and SEZ related compliances and filings
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle ad-hoc requests
  • Conflict resolution skills and client-first service excellence
