About the role
- Manage and oversee global month-end and year-end general ledger close processes for all global entities
- Prepare and review income statement reconciliations and substantiate financial balances
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and automation
- Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies
- Support internal and external audits globally with accurate documentation
- Oversee financial management of capital projects: monitor budgets, manage cost codes, and track project expenditure
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Maintain and reconcile work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and ensure proper capitalization per accounting standards
- Apply project costing principles including retention accounting and progress billing for internal construction projects
- Ensure correct application of withholding tax (TDS) and maintain documentation for statutory reporting
- Proactively resolve financial queries from senior management and perform ad-hoc analyses
- Manage SEZ related compliances and filings
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 7+ years of overall experience in a finance role in a fast-paced environment
- 2+ years managerial experience handling a dynamic team
- Strong leadership qualities and proactive mindset toward continuous improvement
- Sound technical accounting knowledge and extensive knowledge in accounting under relevant accounting standards
- Prior experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Exposure to project-based accounting for internal construction/internal construction projects (added advantage)
- Knowledge of project costing principles including retention accounting, progress billing, and WIP
- Experience with withholding tax (TDS) and SEZ related compliances and filings
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and manage a team with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle ad-hoc requests
- Conflict resolution skills and client-first service excellence
