About the role

  • Drive the development, system integration, and verification of Lithium-ion (Li-ion) and solid state batteries for hearing instruments
  • Work hands-on in the battery laboratory, conduct experiments, and analyze test data
  • Contribute to advanced battery modeling and charging strategy optimization
  • Assess different charging strategies, including ageing effects of Li-ion batteries
  • Analyze test data and contribute to the development of battery lifetime prediction models
  • Prepare, execute, and analyze cell performance tests
  • Support and expand laboratory tools
  • Develop, debug, and improve MATLAB/Python scripts for data processing, automation, and reporting
  • Maintain and calibrate battery test systems and lab equipment
  • Scout and explore new battery technologies for future product generations
  • Document results, prepare reports, and support R&D activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Strong interest in Li-ion and solid state batteries, electrochemistry, and power management
  • Skilled in MATLAB and Python programming (required)
  • Practical, hands-on attitude and ability to work on-site in a laboratory setting
  • Independent, structured, and reliable work style
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation
  • Good spoken and written English skills
