Financial Accountant – Senior Accountant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Timely preparation, analysis and quality assurance of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
- Assessment of business transactions and correct accounting under HGB
- Preparation of VAT returns, tax returns and statistical filings
- Execution of intercompany reconciliations at national and international levels
- Working with large data sets, using Excel for analysis and process optimization
- Supporting the head of accounting and actively shaping financial processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commercial vocational training with further qualification as Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or an equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of accounting under HGB
- Good understanding of accounting and reporting processes
- Excel power user, experienced with pivot tables and handling large datasets
- Solid knowledge of SAP FI/CO
- Good command of English
- Structured working style, team player, clear communicator, punctual and highly reliable
