About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform molecular assays in Women's Health, Infectious Disease, Urology, and Hematology FISH
- Evaluate and perform breast prognostic marker, PD-L1, MMR evaluation (IHC), and HER2 DUAL ISH slide enumeration
- Participate in CAP proficiency testing
- Perform high-volume laboratory testing
- Enter and review results in the laboratory information system (LIS)
- Perform equipment maintenance
- Prepare reagents, media, chemicals, and solutions
- Process specimens using established laboratory techniques
- Set up and maintain laboratory instruments and apparatus
- Record determinations and results for physician review
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with PHI privacy and security standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Science or equivalent under 1988 CLIA high-complexity testing guidelines
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program
- State licensure
- Must possess a General Supervisor of a Licensed Laboratory license, or be eligible to obtain one
- Minimum of three years of experience as an MT/CLS required for the general supervisor license
- Laboratory computer skills
- MT (ASCP) preferred
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with PHI privacy and security standards
- Availability for full-time, 40-hour first mid-shift schedule, Sunday through Thursday
