About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform molecular assays in Women's Health, Infectious Disease, Urology, and Hematology FISH
  • Evaluate and perform breast prognostic marker, PD-L1, MMR evaluation (IHC), and HER2 DUAL ISH slide enumeration
  • Participate in CAP proficiency testing
  • Perform high-volume laboratory testing
  • Enter and review results in the laboratory information system (LIS)
  • Perform equipment maintenance
  • Prepare reagents, media, chemicals, and solutions
  • Process specimens using established laboratory techniques
  • Set up and maintain laboratory instruments and apparatus
  • Record determinations and results for physician review
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with PHI privacy and security standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Science or equivalent under 1988 CLIA high-complexity testing guidelines
  • Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program
  • State licensure
  • Must possess a General Supervisor of a Licensed Laboratory license, or be eligible to obtain one
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an MT/CLS required for the general supervisor license
  • Laboratory computer skills
  • MT (ASCP) preferred
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with PHI privacy and security standards
  • Availability for full-time, 40-hour first mid-shift schedule, Sunday through Thursday
