About the role
- Enter patient, client, billing and test information into the Laboratory Information System
- Ensure accuracy throughout the process as entered information is critical to other laboratory operations
- Follow HIPAA regulations and Compliance standards
- Handle outbound and incoming client calls
- Cross train in accessioning which consists of accurately identifying (by name/specimen type), sorting and labeling specimens for testing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent computer skills, required
- Must be able to type 8,000 keystrokes/hour
- A high degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
