About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, coordinate and implement IT projects
- Work closely with development, service and support teams
- Design, configure and install hardware and software in the company’s on-premises datacenters
- Administer, install, configure and maintain Linux servers
- Perform updates, apply patches and manage release upgrades
- Implement hardening measures and security controls
- Ticket management and provide 2nd-level support for laboratory inquiries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in IT or a comparable qualification with an IT focus
- Professional experience in IT customer support, administration and monitoring
- Deep understanding of Linux systems, Docker, Ansible and GitLab
- Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Nutanix)
- Knowledge in defining and implementing security concepts
- Desirable: firewalling, databases, CI/CD, ISMS (Information Security Management System), BCMS (Business Continuity Management System)
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
