About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare areas of the monthly close process, ensuring journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and within established close timelines
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for prepaid expenses, accruals, expense reclasses, lease accounting activity, Concur-related transactions, and recurring accounting adjustments
- Review general ledger activity for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness, investigating unusual transactions, balances, and fluctuations
- Maintain supporting schedules and workpapers
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Research reconciling items and coordinate timely resolution with stakeholders
- Prepare and distribute related-party invoices and maintain transaction documentation
- Support fluctuation analysis, ad hoc reporting, special projects, and internal and external audits
- Utilize Yardi Voyager, OneStream, and Microsoft Excel for accounting, reconciliation, and reporting processes
- Improve efficiency, standardization, accuracy, procedures, and controls
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support reporting needs
- Participate in ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (required)
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting principles
- Experience with lease accounting preferred
- Experience working in a multi-entity environment preferred
- Experience with Yardi Voyager, OneStream, or comparable ERP and reporting systems preferred
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage recurring accounting processes with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
