About the role
- Leading the review and alignment of Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with EHR compliance standards.
- Implementing detailed analysis and SOP cross-referencing for EHR access and documentation.
- Determining areas of risk, drafting recommendations, and designing approval workflows for BAA processes.
- Supporting daily operations and compliance through audits, training, and user support for EHR platforms.
- Willingness to be on-call to support urgent access or compliance needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED AND two (2) years of experience in health information management, compliance and electronic health records
- Four (4) years of experience managing EHR access, compliance audits, and regulatory protocols
- Experience interpreting and applying HIPAA, BAA, and PHI privacy standards
- Experience designing and updating SOPs for health information systems
- Proficiency in electronic record systems and access management platforms
- Master’s degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, or Healthcare Compliance from an accredited institution (additional qualification)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and process design skills (additional qualification)
- Ability to educate and train users on compliance procedures and system best practices (additional qualification)
