About the role

  • Oversee a team of professionals that execute multiple high-voltage substation projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget and aligned with technical specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to project executives project managers, site supervisors, and other construction professionals within the region.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and project updates.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to secure new projects and contracts.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for utility companies, clients, AHJ’s and key project stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage budgets for construction projects.
  • Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to stay within budget constraints.
  • Ensure that construction projects meet quality standards and comply with relevant building codes and regulations (NEC, IEEE, NESC, Utility Standards).
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures consistent with company, OSHA and NFPA 70E to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, financial performance, and other relevant metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years Utility interconnection, transmission and Substation experience is recommended.
  • Proven experience in construction project management, budget forecasting, with a focus on leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites and client locations.
