About the role

  • Interpret CAD drawings and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), material and profile selections
  • Prepares CAD file for further programing with efficient use of AutoCAD software, including line type and layer management, offsets and reference points
  • Prepares geometric layout of countertops on available slabs and remnants using slab layout software for efficiency material use and pleasing design
  • Develops programs and instructions for CNC equipment, utilizing appropriate CAD/CAM software
  • Determines correct cutting tools and speeds, and applies appropriate toolpath sequences for required design
  • Prepares and organizes shop paperwork files, including electronic files and printed paperwork and labels
  • Checks programming for accuracy and efficiency, using simulations or testing where necessary
  • Collaborates with outsourced programming services to ensure smooth processes
  • Collaborates with sales/design teams to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions with diplomacy and respect
  • Collaborates with Shop Supervisors and Operators to review/resolve programming issues, and improve process efficiencies
  • Prioritizes efficiently to meet timelines, works well under pressure to expedite tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ON A HYBRID SET UP WITH TWICE A MONTH ONSITE ONLY.
