Educational Advisor – Senior
Solution SFTSenior Educational Advisor developing and implementing strategies and tools for competency development. Supporting the design and delivery of professional training content aligned with competency-based education.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop various strategies (e.g., change management and implementation of training programs).
- Design or develop pedagogical strategies and tools that promote skills development and provide advisory support in defining skills development objectives.
- Recommend tools, methods and practices for developing training products.
- Support the instructional design and pedagogical development of professional training content, in accordance with a competency-based approach.
- Provide expertise on aspects related to adult skills development in the workplace.
- Participate in needs analysis and in designing activities, products and training programs.
- Support subject-matter experts in drafting pedagogical tools such as instructional briefs, facilitator guides, storyboards, course outlines, etc.
- Contribute to developing evaluation and follow-up activities for training to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and maximize the investment.
- Support the integration of content into various delivery platforms/tools.
- Advise on implementing a competency assessment system to identify areas where employees require additional training.
- Ensure knowledge transfer to resources designated by the CNESST.
- Perform other duties typical of a pedagogical advisor.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrate that the resource has accumulated ten years of experience as a pedagogical advisor.
- Provide evidence of a mandate of at least 100 person-days during which the resource developed and/or implemented a training program.
- The service provider must explain how the resource determined the training needs and the means required for users and/or staff to adopt the changes to be implemented.
- Important: The service provider must demonstrate alignment with the majority of activities and deliverables as described in the clause "Deliverables to be produced or types of services to be provided" for this profile.
- Provide two mandates of at least 50 person-days each completed within the last five years in which the resource supported the design and development of varied training products (e.g., online module, webinar, in-person training, others).
- By the submission deadline, the resource must hold an undergraduate degree in a program from a Faculty of Education. Written proof must be attached to the submission.
- Among the mandates submitted in response to the minimum requirements, at least one must have required the use of instructional design tools (examples: Rise, Articulate, Camtasia) or any other tool with equivalent features.
- Among the mandates submitted in response to the minimum requirements, at least one must have involved developing a professional training program according to the principles of a competency-based approach.
