About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders to help design and implement a fit-for-purpose and right-sized privacy program for this newly formed, global, public company
- Support the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of a global privacy governance program
- Advise on data processing activities, privacy‑by‑design initiatives, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), international data transfers, and vendor engagements
- Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Security, Product, HR, and other business teams across regions
- Monitor and interpret developments in global privacy laws and regulations and assess their impact on Solstice’s business
- Assist with regulatory inquiries, audits, and incident response relating to data protection matters
- Contribute to internal policies, training, and awareness programs related to data privacy and data protection
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree from an accredited law school
- 6+ years of experience practicing law
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR and U.S. privacy laws (e.g., state privacy laws and sector‑specific requirements)
- Demonstrated experience advising on privacy matters in a commercial, business‑oriented context
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global, cross‑functional team
- Commitment to ethical conduct and professional integrity
