About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support efforts to improve return on investment across the ESM asset base by contributing to analyses on strategic supply decisions, cost optimization opportunities, and development of capacity investment cases and portfolio metrics
  • Assist in the development of asset addition/deletion business cases and analyses impacting manufacturing capacity and geographic footprint
  • Support asset-light manufacturing initiatives, including analysis of strategic sourcing, tolling, and third-party partnerships
  • Contribute to identification and analysis of long-term supply/demand balances and help evaluate options to address potential gaps
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing strategic supply transition pipelines, including asset repositioning or divestiture evaluations
  • Prepare analyses, presentations, and materials to support business investment decisions for leadership teams
  • Support analysis for New Product Introduction (NPI), Breakthrough Initiatives (BTI), and make vs. source decisions, including gathering data and building supporting models
  • Assist in connecting STRAP to execution by supporting analysis related to expansions, capacity optimization, and cost improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the annual STRAP process, including supporting analysis of expansion opportunities and productivity improvements
  • Support development of joint venture or third-party supply business cases as needed
  • Maintain and support data sharing and cross-functional analysis efforts to strengthen supply-side performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Procurement, ISC, HSE, Engineering, Finance, HR) to support execution of strategic and operational initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing and supply chain and how assets influence business strategy
  • Beginner to intermediate-level skills in financial acumen and valuation skills
  • Strong Executive Level Communication Ability. Excellent Verbal, Written, and Presentation Skills are a requirement.
  • Critical Thinker capable of conducting strategy independent analysis and recommendations
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • MBA/MS in business, finance, or other technical/analytical disciplines.
  • 2 or more years of applicable experience, with strong marketing aptitude and business interest. Strong problem-solving skills to structure and conduct analyses.
  • Ability to perform financial analyses (NPV, IRR, payback, etc.) to prioritize business decisions.
