About the role
- Manage day-to-day HR operations across Solon and selected portfolio companies.
- Implement core HR processes including onboarding, contracts, employee documentation, and policy management.
- Establish practical HR systems and processes where they do not yet exist.
- Maintain employee records and ensure accurate workforce data.
- Work directly with portfolio company leadership teams to support hiring, team development, and organizational needs.
- Provide hands-on HR support to operating businesses, including potential secondments to portfolio companies when needed.
- Assist CEOs and management teams with workforce planning and team structure.
- Manage recruitment processes across Solon and its portfolio companies.
- Coordinate sourcing, interviews, and hiring processes for key roles.
- Support onboarding and integration of new hires.
- Help develop simple performance management processes where required.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and employment regulations across relevant jurisdictions.
- Manage employment documentation, contracts, and employee policies.
- Coordinate with Employer of Record (EOR) providers where employees are hired internationally.
- Support payroll coordination and benefits administration.
- Implement and maintain HR systems (e.g., BambooHR or similar platforms).
- Track employee data, headcount, organizational structures, and HR documentation.
- Provide periodic reporting on workforce metrics to management.
- Support initiatives that strengthen culture, communication, and employee engagement across the portfolio.
- Help leadership teams develop strong, cohesive teams as businesses scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–7 years of HR experience, ideally in fast-growing or entrepreneurial organizations.
- Experience supporting multiple teams, business units, or operating companies is preferred.
- Experience managing recruitment and HR operations.
- Familiarity with HR systems such as BambooHR or similar platforms.
- Experience working with international teams or EOR providers is a plus.
- HR certification is advantageous but not required.
