About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Continuously analyze logs and network events to detect anomalous behavior and potential attacks
- Configure, administer, and optimize firewalls, IDS/IPS and perimeter security solutions
- Perform vulnerability scans and support penetration testing
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance
- Support containment and recovery for moderate-impact incidents
- Prepare technical reports on vulnerabilities, incidents and security indicators
- Recommend adjustments to network processes and controls
- Conduct basic security awareness training
- Keep protection systems up to date by applying patches and updates
- Assess medium-impact risks and recommend corrective measures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 2 years (preferred) experience in log analysis and event correlation
- Knowledge of network protocols and services: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S and VPNs
- Configuration and management of firewalls, IDS/IPS and proxies
- Administration of Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), VPNs, NAT and IDS/IPS
- Network troubleshooting and log analysis
- Experience with Fortinet and Check Point
- Knowledge of WAFs, including Akamai, Cloudflare and Imperva
- Degree in Computer Network Technology, Computer Science, Information Security or related fields
- Security+, FCA, FCP-Network Security and CCNA certifications desirable
