About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Interpret and apply ASC 606 to complex, multi‑element arrangements, subscription models, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
  • Review and approve revenue treatment for customer contracts, ensuring accurate timing and classification of revenue.
  • Maintain and update revenue policies to reflect business changes, new products, and evolving accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review revenue recognition technical memoranda and documentation.
  • Lead the revenue close process, including reviewing journal entries, deferred revenue analysis, and reconciliations
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement to shorten close timelines.
  • Work closely with Sales and Legal teams to review terms before contract execution and guide deal structuring decisions.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to ensure accurate forecasting of revenue and deferred balances.
  • Provide global revenue accounting guidance to regional accounting teams to ensure consistency across geographies.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Pricing teams to assess revenue implications of new offerings.
  • Own and execute key SOX controls related to revenue recognition.
  • Prepare audit documentation and coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual audits.
  • Strengthen the company’s control environment by ensuring complete, accurate, and well‑supported revenue processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in revenue recognition, technical accounting, or audit (including 3 years of supervisory experience)
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and related technical accounting requirements.
  • Experience with complex, global revenue arrangements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented, good judgment and logical decision-making ability with a hands-on approach
  • Preferred CPA
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or multi‑product global companies.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, Cognos
