About the role

  • Implement and maintain code to support driver monitoring systems
  • Engage with Business Analysts, Software Developers, and Software QA Analysts to understand system requirements
  • Deliver high-quality software following Solera’s development standards and best practices
  • Work with legacy client systems and contribute to design and implementation of microservices and web applications
  • Participate in SCRUM, code reviews, and other team meetings
  • Analyze system specifications and translate requirements into manageable tasks
  • Modify existing software to fix bugs and address performance improvements
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems; analyze and maintain current applications and processes
  • Mentor and coach junior developers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of software development experience
  • 3-5 years of C# experience in .NET Framework or .NET Core
  • Knowledge of version control TFS or git
  • 2-4 years relational databases experience, SQL Server
  • Ability to understand complex infrastructure environment
  • Fluent in English both Written and Verbal
  • Located within commuting distance of our Westlake office
  • (Nice to Have) Prior work experience in and understanding of Agile Development
  • (Nice to Have) Experience with testing framework like NUnit, xunit or equivalent
  • (Nice to Have) API (REST, SOAP)
  • (Nice to Have) Advanced parsing of various data exchange formats XML, JSON, fixed width, delimited, etc.
  • (Nice to Have) .NET front end experience in technologies such as .NET Web Forms, Razor Pages
  • (Nice to Have) Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
  • (Nice to Have) Architecture patterns like MVC or MVVM
  • (Nice to Have) Experience with Test Driven Development
  • (Nice to Have) Experience with Mocking Frameworks like MOQ or Rhino
