About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with the European Sales Organization to drive business growth, provide advanced technical support, and deliver effective customer solutions that strengthen and protect existing business
- Support strategic customer opportunities and major tenders through site assessments, technical audits, solution design, proposal development, and customer presentations
- Conduct wastewater treatment surveys, process evaluations, and operational audits to identify optimization opportunities and deliver measurable customer value
- Develop, deliver, and facilitate technical training programs for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with R&D, Global Product Management, and Application Teams to support new product introductions, technology validation, and innovation deployment
- Quantify and communicate customer value through technical case studies, Value Advantage projects, sustainability assessments, and ROI calculations
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve technical documentation, application tools, digital resources, and knowledge-sharing platforms
- Support the implementation and optimization of digital monitoring and control solutions, leveraging data-driven insights to improve wastewater treatment performance and operational efficiency
- Act as a recognized technical expert in industrial and municipal wastewater treatment, providing guidance on process optimization, regulatory considerations, and best practices
- Travel across Europe (approximately 50-70%) to support customers, business development activities, and technology implementation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Significant experience in industrial and / or municipal wastewater treatment technologies (sludge treatment, dewatering technologies)
- Experience in municipal tendering process
- Ideally experience in cooperation with engineering firms, regulatory knowledge for EU and local authorities
- Strong understanding of coagulants, flocculants, and process chemicals
- Ability to communicate value creation (economic + environmental) internal & to customers
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Resilient, flexible, and able to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
- Previous sales experience in water treatment business preferred
