About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead financial support for plant operations, including monthly close, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
- Partner with the plants to monitor performance, explain variances, and drive accountability to budget and forecasts.
- Analyze manufacturing, supply chain, freight, and warehouse costs—including production, inventory, logistics, transportation, and distribution—to identify key drivers and improvement opportunities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for plants, supply chain, freight, and warehouse operations.
- Review and manage inventory performance, including excess/obsolete inventory, write offs, operational drivers, and warehouse related impacts.
- Provide insights into cost absorption, production volumes, operational efficiency, freight utilization, and warehouse productivity.
- Support product costing and margin analysis for existing and new products.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5 years + of experience in FP&A, Finance, or Controlling (depending on seniority)
- Manufacturing/Plant Finance and cost accounting
- Standard costing, cost absorption and inventory analysis
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel required; reporting tools preferred)
- Ability to interpret complex data and effectively communicate insights.
- Strong financial planning, budgeting and forecasting background
- SAP or ERP systems
- Strong business partnering, relationship-building, and collaboration skills; ability to influence without authority.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving mindset
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with both finance and non-finance teams, with a collaborative and considerate approach to working across functions.
