💰 $45,000 - $65,000 per year

About the role

  • Create and update schematic and geographic drawings for mission-critical utility systems
  • Ensure visual outputs are clean, accurate, and aligned with customer requirements
  • Translate technical requirements into clear, effective visualizations
  • Write, review, and edit technical documentation and supporting graphics
  • Provide design feedback to product and engineering teams to improve visualization usability, consistency, and operator experience
  • Contribute input on layout, visual hierarchy, and interaction patterns to support effective decision-making in operational environments
  • Track labor activity and support internal reporting
  • Communicate directly with customers in a professional, clear manner

Requirements

  • Adobe Illustrator: Advanced experience creating technical illustrations and scalable vector graphics
  • CAD Tools: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation (Bentley), or similar drafting software
  • GIS Fundamentals: Understanding of geographic data and visual representation
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Excel and Word for documentation and tracking
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Associate’s degree or higher in design, drafting, GIS, or a related field preferred
  • Formal coursework or training in visual design principles and spatial layout preferred
  • Experience collaborating with product, engineering, or UX teams to provide design or usability feedback preferred
