About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operational legal counsel
  • Independent strategic and operational advice to business units on day-to-day legal matters
  • Examination of legal issues, including fact-finding, and development and evaluation of possible legal solutions
  • Legal support for projects and business transactions across various company areas
  • Drafting, reviewing and independently negotiating contracts in German and English, including but not limited to: supplier and customer contracts (also international), cooperation and service agreements, logistics contracts, confidentiality agreements (NDAs)
  • Development and maintenance of contract standards and templates in both languages
  • Independently conducting contract negotiations with national and international business partners
  • Support on corporate law matters and corporate governance
  • Preparation of shareholder and board meetings
  • Maintenance and updating of corporate records
  • Identification and assessment of legal risks in daily business operations
  • Development of approaches to minimize risks
  • Support in implementing risk-reduction measures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate in business law or fully qualified lawyer with completion of the First and Second State Examinations, or equivalent international qualification
  • At least 2–3 years professional experience, ideally in a legal department, a law firm or a company in a technology or industrial environment
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Business-fluent German and English, including legal drafting in both languages
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with various departments
  • Commercial understanding, pragmatic approach and a high hands-on mentality
  • Ability to present complex matters clearly and concisely
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to obtain admission as a Syndikusrechtsanwalt (in-house counsel admission), if not already held
