About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare and enter month-end and other required journal entries
Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
Prepare standard and ad hoc financial analyses and reports
Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies
Reconcile bank accounts daily
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of accounting systems, programs, and procedures
Support external audit processes, including preparing work papers and reports
Contribute to special projects as assigned
Perform financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, audit preparation, and compliance activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university required
1+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to real estate or solar energy project fund accounting
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other business functions
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Experience with Microsoft BusinessCentral or Dynamics 365 is a plus
