About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and enter month-end and other required journal entries
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Prepare standard and ad hoc financial analyses and reports
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies
- Reconcile bank accounts daily
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Support external audit processes, including preparing work papers and reports
- Contribute to special projects as assigned
- Perform financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, audit preparation, and compliance activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university required
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to real estate or solar energy project fund accounting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other business functions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience with Microsoft BusinessCentral or Dynamics 365 is a plus
