About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a systems integrator for the specification, definition, analysis, development, testing and certification of hydromechanical systems, including interfaces with various users.
  • Coordinate product development activities of hydromechanical systems suppliers and the interactions with other systems and interfaces.
  • Ensure the quality of the design, its validation, certification and delivery.
  • Ensure attainment of product development milestones and deliverables for each phase (as author, verifier and approver).
  • Resolve technical problems in a cross-functional environment.
  • Participate in the design and integration of systems.
  • Review the design and documentation of all aspects of the systems.
  • Verify the quality of supplier analyses.
  • Validate and verify system requirements and then system performance through design reviews, analyses, aircraft tests and bench testing.
  • Define, prepare and carry out qualification and certification tests.
  • Collaborate with suppliers in investigations and resolutions following test results.
  • Prepare or revise qualification or certification reports.
  • Liaise with the loads, reliability and safety (RM&S), simulation, customer support and operations departments.
  • Identify issues and blockers to track and communicate progress.
  • Prepare reports or presentations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience;
  • You have experience in design, integration, development and certification of hydromechanical systems;
  • You are familiar with airworthiness regulations and the certification process;
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills in English (required);
  • You are motivated, proactive, organized, autonomous and able to work with limited supervision;
  • You must be a team player, able to work with suppliers and customers;
  • You are a dynamic, initiative-taking person with a strong sense of responsibility and sound judgment;
  • You have knowledge of MS Office (essential);
  • Knowledge of CATIA, Matlab, Simulink (an asset);
