Operations

• Oversee all packaging development from concept to production — including design intent, feasibility, sampling, testing, and approval.
• Source and evaluate new packaging vendors for a wide array of packaging components, including bottles, tops, tubes, amongst others.
• Partner with the CEO, Product Development and Design teams to translate brand concepts into functional, manufacturable packaging solutions.
• Lead packaging material selection based on functionality, compatibility with formulas, sustainability goals, and cost considerations.
• Manage packaging artwork timelines in collaboration with Design and vendors, ensuring dieline accuracy and print quality.
• Serve as the liaison between Design, Product Development, and external vendors to communicate feedback, manage revisions, and determine next steps for packaging refinement and approval.
• Drive cost analysis and negotiations with suppliers to optimize packaging spend while maintaining brand standards.
• Develop and enforce QA standards and protocols for packaging and finished goods to ensure performance, durability, and brand alignment.

Packaging Operations Manager

• Support community building and day-to-day marketing operations
• Maintain communication and restocks with core influencers, brand friends, and partners

Marketing Intern

• Level: Mid-Senior

• Compensation: $75K-$100K (DOE) + benefits, early-stage equity
• Location: NYC — hybrid office/WFH model
• Reports to: CEO
• Act as the project manager and process owner across all marketing workstreams
• Keep the calendar accurate, the team aligned, and launches moving from brief to deploy with clarity and speed
• Report into the CEO
• Maintain a single source of truth calendar with the Brand Marketing Manager and CEO, backing out dates and dependencies for smooth, on-time deployments
• Run bi-weekly calendar check-ins and route updates to stakeholders, ensuring owners, due dates, and requirements are clear and current
• Rework timelines and communicate changes when priorities shift, documenting risks and mitigation plans
• Own task creation, routing, and status hygiene in Airtable (PM Tool)
• Build long-range plans for Holiday/BFCM, launches, Sephora programs (Beauty Insider events, in-store activations), promotional timeframes, and key launches
• Keep the organization planned 3–6 months out with interim checkpoints, asset lock dates, and hand-offs
• Drive cross-functional pre-reads and alignment, creating early checkpoints on key stakeholders calendars

• Facilitate relationship with retoucher and photographer on selects, collaborate with Design on retouching notes, color management, and version control for each channel. Make sure photographer receives final retouched folder

Creative Operations Manager

Brand Manager

• We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Manager who can turn strategy into engaging and valuable content across organic social, influencer, email, and events. You’ll partake in the development of the content calendar end-to-end—from concepting and creator sourcing to production, posting, and performance.
• Work closely with design and copy counterparts to see through concept execution across all brand marketing touchpoints.
• Report into the CEO.
• Build and maintain a rolling 3–6 month content calendar across email and organic social (primarily Instagram).
• Concept campaign themes for launches, always-on education, seasonal moments, and brand storytelling.
• Own the editorial cadence for email newsletters. Shepherd asset handoff, testing, QA, and deployment of newsletters.
• Identify, recruit, and brief niche creators/UGC partners; negotiate rates, usage rights, and timelines.
• Manage creator relationships, contracts, deliverables, and approvals; track asset usage windows and reposting rights.
• Learn and apply Soft Services’ shooting and editing style. Create agile assets in-house (short-form video, stills, GIFs, stories).
• Own the joint marketing calendar with Sephora across site, app, email, social, sampling, and in-store touchpoints.
• Build GTM strategies for new product launches and Sephora BI events that define objectives, audience, positioning, key claims, and success metrics; develop campaign messaging pillars, hero visuals, and content formats.
• Maintain high-performing PDPs with accurate benefit-forward copy, ingredient and claim compliance, image and video galleries, and how-to content.
• Concept and execute influencer mailers—from theme and packaging to inserts and copy.
• Build mailing lists, coordinate follow-up for content, track performance (unboxings, UGC output, quality of assets) and optimize for future waves.
• Ideate and develop on-brand experiential moments (pop-ups, retail events, sampling activations) that ladder up to campaign goals.
• Build event creative and production briefs, manage timelines, budgets, and logistics (permits/venues as needed), ensuring brand-forward visuals and content capture.
• Coordinate post-event deliverables including recap, UGC/press pulls, and learnings to inform future events.
