About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of AWS environments.
Provision and update infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Perform operational activities related to cloud environment administration.
Monitor metrics, logs, and alerts, performing initial incident analysis.
Configure and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and Load Balancer.
Execute and validate backup routines and disaster recovery procedures.
Track cloud resource consumption, supporting cost and performance optimization actions.
Assist in identifying and analyzing root causes (RCA) of incidents.
Document procedures, configurations, and changes made to environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure availability and reliability of services.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge of Linux and command line (Bash).
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, and Firewall).
Practical experience or working knowledge of AWS, especially: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Terraform.
Familiarity with Git and version control.
Basic knowledge of automation using Python or Bash.
Familiarity with monitoring using CloudWatch or similar tools.
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery concepts.
Understanding of cloud security and access management.
Nice to have:
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
Linux Essentials (LPI) certification.
Knowledge of tagging strategies and cloud cost management.
Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, or similar.
Participation in academic, personal, or professional cloud computing projects.
