Development Account Director — Commercial Division

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop a strategic plan for each account
- Stay informed about changes in clients' industries, executive objectives, and the competitive landscape
- Build strong relationships with senior executives at current and prospective Softchoice clients
- Leverage Salesforce and Softchoice's sales methodology to consistently and effectively manage accounts, opportunities, and sales forecasts
- Use industry best practices and Softchoice expertise to identify client problems and assemble the resources necessary to develop solutions involving software, hardware, and services
- Maintain strategic alignment with local manufacturers and channel partners
- Stay current on market and product developments and attend product training as required
- Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders and subject-matter resources as needed to meet client business objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
- Experience in the IT sector is an asset
- Experience interpreting annual reports, data and financial forecasts
- Strong business acumen and experience managing a pipeline of prospective clients
- Good understanding of solution selling and creating value for customers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong listening skills, confident presentation abilities, and the ability to explain complex solutions in plain language
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and consistently develop outstanding relationships
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
