About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and expand sales for Fleet, Government, and Heavy-Duty accounts
- Communicate and execute Fleet/Government and Heavy-Duty strategic initiatives
- Enroll new members in the NAPA Elite Fleet program and drive Master Service Agreement adoption
- Present NAPA Light Duty and Heavy-Duty products and programs to commercial fleets and government prospects
- Collaborate with NAPA Fleet HQ to provide field feedback and support program adoption, new accounts, Autotech training, and sales goals
- Coordinate government bids and RFQ opportunities for timely completion and submission
- Train local sales teams on Fleet and Heavy-Duty programs
- Achieve territory quotas for sales, new accounts, Fleet Elite, Commercial, and Government Fleet
- Support local BDGs with meetings, community events, and marketing activities
- Provide customer service and communication to NAPA Fleet and Government accounts
- Visit current customers to support program adoption and present relevant programs and products
- Register accounts in RAM, configure pricing profiles and categories in TAMS, and complete MI filter registrations
- Review monthly initiatives with sales teams
- Execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales plans and territory sales strategies
- Conduct account reviews and update management on progress indicators
- Attend, organize, and manage events and trade shows
- Monitor NAPA Connect for updates
- Consistently meet or exceed yearly targets and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of previous selling and account management experience
- Solid record of developing new business while maintaining and growing existing business
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including long-distance driving, multiple daily sales calls, and overnight stays as required
- Ability to understand and apply sales principles, techniques, and processes
- Ability to identify and meet customer needs and build long-lasting relationships
- Clear and persuasive communication skills
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced sales environment
- Strong results orientation and financial acumen, including structuring deals to meet sales and profit objectives
- Deep understanding of product specifications, features, benefits, and brand differentiators
- Comfort using CRM systems, inventory management software, and other sales tools
- Ability to leverage digital platforms for customer engagement
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for extended periods in varied weather and road conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Ability to frequently attend after-hours and weekend events
- Travel requirements upwards of 50% at any given time
