About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Expand Under Car / Brakes product sales to current and new customers at all distribution levels
  • Communicate and execute category strategic initiatives, sales promotions, and training
  • Present and sell NAPA initiatives, promotions, value propositions, and training materials to storeowners and installer customers
  • Partner with TSM/TMOD teams on ISO Store Readiness, inventory levels, and assessments
  • Provide field insights to drive sales and category initiatives
  • Achieve territory sales quotas and train store employees on NAPA Under Car programs
  • Build long-term relationships with store owners as an advisor and business partner
  • Prepare stores to manage effective inventory levels
  • Organize and lead category-specific sales blitzes
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial targets
  • Provide customer service and communication to territory accounts
  • Provide classroom and in-field education and training on assigned product lines
  • Execute sales plans and category sales programs to drive business growth
  • Conduct periodic account reviews and update management on progress indicators
  • Attend, organize, and manage promotional events and trade shows
  • Share marketing intelligence with colleagues to identify product opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of previous selling and account management experience
  • Solid record of developing new business while maintaining and growing existing business
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including long-distance driving, multiple daily sales calls, and overnight stays as required
  • Understanding and application of sales principles, techniques, and processes
  • Ability to identify and meet customer needs through persuasive communication
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales targets and understand deal structures supporting sales and profit objectives
  • Deep understanding of product specifications, features, benefits, and brand differentiators
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, inventory management software, and other sales tools
  • Ability to use digital platforms for customer engagement
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for extended periods in all weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to attend events after hours and/or on weekends
  • Ability to travel upwards of 50%
