About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

provide highest mechanical service to meet customer needs
perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance
repair heavyweight conveyor belt using various methods
set up, tear down, and maintain support structure
grease and change out rollers as needed
install and repair industrial electrical components
operate telehandlers, forklifts, and/or manlifts
load and offload work trucks and semi-trailers
align and calibrate parts and mechanisms
frontline customer service
rigging to facilitate lifting of conveyor components
perform basic millwright tasks
diagnose problems with equipment and decide repairs

Requirements

What you’ll need

technical degree and 0 to 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination
MSHA Experienced Miner Surface AND Underground certification highly preferred
1+ year of experience working belt line in mining, aggregate, or related industry preferred
Forklift/telehandler certifications a plus
basic hand tool familiarity required
basic math experience required
ability to lift 40-75lbs regularly, up to 100lbs occasionally
safety conscious and responsible, wearing required PPE
ability to visually inspect machinery and equipment
ability to read measuring and perform basic math calculations
ability to operate shop equipment safely
willingness to drive company vehicles according to company policy
