About the role
- Based at Repco branch but mostly on the road visiting trade automotive customers in Te Awamutu & Morrinsville
- Main point of contact for key customers; ensure accounts are well looked after and assist with product/ordering needs
- Provide a level of service superior to competitors while growing profit margin and market share for the store
- Ensure established customer base receive exceptional service and grow those relationships
- Work with Area Manager/s on building new business in the area
- Develop and maintain a structured call cycle
- Be efficient and proactive in providing support and solutions to customers' needs
- Involvement in planning activities to drive sales and exceed budgets
- Liaise with in-store Trade Specialists to ensure key clients are well looked after
- Contribute to a culture of safety by putting safety first
Requirements
- Proven sales and account management experience
- Enjoy working towards KPI's and targets
- Experience or an interest in the automotive industry is essential
- Building relationships and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Proven success previously in a sales and/or account management role
- Mechanically minded with an understanding of the industry / In-depth knowledge around aftermarket parts and products
- Strong customer focus and ability to maintain and grow relationships whilst providing personalised service
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and discuss & relay technical information
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload to ensure efficiency
- High work ethic and determination to drive sales
- Physical requirements: lifting, bending, climbing & safe driving
