About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead category planning and initiatives to deliver sales, profit and market-share growth
  • Provide technical support, application guidance and troubleshooting assistance for Power Transmission products
  • Manage product range, supplier selection and product lifecycle activity
  • Develop supplier partnerships and support joint growth plans
  • Work with sales teams to develop customer opportunities, product solutions and targeted sales plans
  • Support competitive pricing, promotions, marketing and merchandising activity
  • Deliver technical product training for internal teams and customers
  • Conduct customer and branch visits to support sales development and market engagement
  • Analyse category performance, customer trends and market opportunities
  • Partner with supply chain and inventory teams on forecasting and inventory optimisation
  • Maintain product data, technical literature and sales-support materials
  • Foster and maintain trusted relationships across all levels of the business and support the store network, managers and leaders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Practical technical expertise in Power Transmission, including related industrial components, applications or systems
  • Experience in product management, category management, technical sales, engineering support or industrial distribution
  • Strong understanding of industrial customer requirements and technical problem-solving
  • Commercial awareness, including exposure to product range, pricing, sales or margin management
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including confidence to deliver technical training
  • Strong planning, time-management and attention-to-detail skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using ERP and CRM systems
  • Current driver licence
  • Flexibility to travel within Australia as needed
  • Must be either an Australian Citizen or holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa
