About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Develop and execute project delivery strategies that achieve schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and project teams across various locations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive project performance through proactive planning, risk management, and decision-making.
  • Ensure contractual obligations, project specifications, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of field operations and project management teams.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to improve project execution, productivity, and profitability.
  • Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers.
  • Participate in robot and equipment, resource planning, workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational strategy development.
  • Support business growth initiatives through client relationship management.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, earned value metrics, and financial performance.
  • Lead schedule recovery efforts and mitigation planning when project risks arise.
  • Analyze project trends and provide executive-level reporting on cost, schedule, productivity, and risk.
  • Implement best practices related to project controls, forecasting, budgeting, and performance measurement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in budgeting, estimating, procurement planning, and constructability reviews.
  • Review project estimates and validate scope, schedule, and resource requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations, change management, and cost control initiatives.
  • Collaborate with estimating teams during proposal and bid development activities.
  • Oversee the obtention of permits and the relation with permitting authorities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of progressive construction management experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing project budgets exceeding $2M+.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and cost management.
  • Experience managing project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
