About the role
- Ensure accounting, tax and corporate compliance in Brazil;
- Translate financial data into management reports and customized analyses for international stakeholders;
- Perform and review general ledger accounting, ensuring correct classification and recording of transactions in accordance with Brazilian GAAP (BR GAAP) and reconciliation with IFRS;
- Prepare and validate balance sheets, income statements (DRE), financial statements and monthly analytical reports;
- Act as the focal point between local accounting and international controllership;
- Generate customized accounting and management reports;
- Ensure compliance with tax and statutory reporting obligations;
- Support internal and external audits;
- Supervise monthly and annual financial close;
- Participate in accounting system and ERP integration projects;
- Monitor accounting and tax legislation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and active CRC (Brazilian accountancy registration);
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years interfacing with international controllership;
- Advanced or fluent English (required for reading, writing and interaction with headquarters);
- Proficient with SPED, ECD, ECF, IFRS, account reconciliations, and financial performance reporting;
- Advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, TOTVS or similar);
- Experience in multinational companies or reporting to foreign headquarters is desirable.
