About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain native iOS mobile applications and SDKs for Socure’s identity platform
  • Implement document-scanning flows using camera/ML, selfie capture for face matching, and secure credential handling
  • Integrate advanced device hardware features (camera, CoreML, CoreNFC, biometric sensors, CoreBluetooth)
  • Optimize on-device image processing and biometric verification for speed and accuracy
  • Write high-quality, maintainable Swift code with thorough unit/UI tests
  • Expand CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Fastlane/CI) to build artifacts shipped to customers and participate in code reviews
  • Partner with backend, ML/Data Science, and product/design teams to integrate fraud-detection models and document-verification services
  • Define mobile engineering best practices, share iOS architecture and SDK expertise, and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • 7+ years of iOS development using Swift (UIKit/SwiftUI) and Xcode
  • Deep understanding of iOS frameworks: camera, CoreML/vision, CoreNFC, CoreBluetooth, biometrics (FaceID/TouchID)
  • Familiarity with Objective-C and React Native
  • Proven track record building and integrating mobile SDKs or libraries
  • Experience developing mobile payment or identity apps (preferred)
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Solid CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
  • Understanding of mobile security (App Transport Security, encryption, secure storage) and privacy regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced agile team
  • Eligible to work in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship (must answer application question)
  • Cannot reside in HI, MS, NM, WV, WY (company unable to hire employees living in these states)
