About the role
- Examine identity documents (e.g., passports, national ID cards, driver’s licenses) to assess authenticity, quality, and signs of manipulation or fraud.
- Act as a subject matter expert on document authenticity, security features and fraud signals.
- Contribute to investigative efforts, including identifying trends, anomalies, and emerging document fraud techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including data science, product, and fraud teams, to refine processes and tooling.
- Own and help define document review processes, including review criteria, escalation guidelines, and quality standards, in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Experience working with identity documents, fraud analysis, investigations, or quality-focused operational roles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong visual pattern-recognition skills.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of global identity documents and their security features.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting findings and rationale.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Experience defining, documenting, and owning operational or analytical processes, including establishing review criteria, escalation paths, and quality standards.
- Prior exposure to data labeling, quality assurance, or support for machine learning initiatives.
- Familiarity with document fraud typologies and common manipulation techniques.
