About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and supervise all accounting, finance, treasury, and administrative activities.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with Group and local requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, account reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
  • Prepare and submit monthly management reporting packages, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital analysis, and variance explanations.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide meaningful insights to support business decisions.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury activities, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, internal control procedures, and local statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, legal partners, and local authorities.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure the implementation of corrective actions where required.
  • Coordinate and validate the monthly payroll process, salary payments, employee benefits administration, and expense reimbursement activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the external payroll provider, ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with local labor regulations.
  • Support HR administrative activities, including employee documentation, onboarding, offboarding, and employment-related administration.
  • Coordinate local HSE administrative requirements, accident reporting, mandatory inspections, and support the deployment of Group HSE policies.
  • Conduct customer credit risk assessments, monitor overdue receivables, coordinate collection activities, and oversee bad debt monitoring.
  • Lead, coach, and develop one direct report, ensuring effective workload management and professional growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen financial processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and cash flow management.
  • Experience working with auditors, banks, tax advisors, and external service providers.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes and HR administration.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Fluent Portuguese and English.
  • Strong teamworking skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
