Sales Engineer, Switchgear and Measuring Devices
Socomec GroupSales Engineer for SOCOMEC's switchgear and measuring devices. Focused on building customer relationships and driving sales in the South-West region of Germany.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You develop and expand sales of the entire SOCOMEC switchgear and measuring devices product range within your sales territory
- You advise and support existing customers and actively acquire new customers
- You identify cross-selling opportunities and work closely with specialized sales teams
- You build long-term customer relationships and position SOCOMEC as a trusted partner
- Independently manage your sales territory
- Analyze customer needs and develop appropriate solutions
- Prepare and follow up on quotations
- Plan and conduct customer meetings
- Forecast and implement measures to achieve targets (revenue, margin)
- Develop key accounts and ensure high customer retention
- Work closely with Sales Support, Customer Service and Back Office
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to overall team success
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of experience in technical sales, ideally in switchgear or measurement technology
- Strong technical and commercial knowledge
- Proven sales and closing capabilities
- High self-motivation, organizational skills and a clear focus on goals
- Analytical thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong communication skills and a pronounced customer focus
- Willingness to travel within South‑West Germany (approx. 2 overnight stays per week)
