About the role
- Administration of Jira Cloud + Server + Confluence
- Management of project schemes, workflows, screens, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
- Management of users, groups, roles, integration with directories (AD/IdP).
- Monitoring and optimising structure: projects, user fields, workflows, permissions.
- Jira performance and reliability
- Configuring and supporting Jira instance monitoring: uptime, latency, error frequency, database latency, etc.
- Working with Atlassian performance reports, analysing bottlenecks (database, index, user fields, plugins).
- Planning and conducting regular performance reviews and tuning.
- Automation and integration
- Automation rules (Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, etc.).
- Writing scripts in Groovy/Python for bulk operations, migrations, and housekeeping.
- Integrations via REST API (CI/CD, monitoring, other internal systems).
- Change management and standards
- Design and implementation of Jira configuration standards (limits on user fields, rules for workflows, etc.).
- Planning and implementation of Jira/plugin upgrades.
- Team support and internal consulting
- Gathering requirements and designing solutions in Jira for team processes.
- Troubleshooting complex incidents and non-standard scenarios.
Requirements
- Jira Software Cloud + Server/DC: workflows, boards, permission/notification/screen schemes, JQL
- Jira Service Management: queues, SLAs, request types (preferable)
- Atlassian stack: Confluence, Bitbucket, integration with IdP/LDAP (SSO, groups)
- Scripting/code: - Groovy (ScriptRunner: post-functions, listeners, scheduled jobs)
- Python (utilities, migrations, bulk operations, integrations)
- Jira/Atlassian REST API (auth, pagination, rate limits)
- Performance/SRE: understanding SLI/SLO/SLA, latency, error rate, working with logs and metrics
- Infrastructure: Linux, databases for Jira (PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server), basic HA/DC
- Integrations: CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket), webhooks, event-driven integrations
