About the role
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing infrastructure, applications, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy and manage services in self-hosted Kubernetes and GCP environments.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, monitoring and performance tuning.
- Implement automation and improvements using Python and shell scripting.
- Collaborate on new integrations, infrastructure enhancements and incident resolution.
Requirements
- Kubernetes: - Proficient in orchestrating and managing containerised applications.
- Hands-on experience operating self-hosted Kubernetes clusters.
- Practical experience in Google Cloud (GCP), ideally including GKE, networking and IAM.
- GitLab CI/CD & Argo CD (GitOps): - Extensive experience in designing and optimising CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- GitOps deployments to Kubernetes via Argo CD and Helm with reliable promotion, rollback and release management.
- Database Administration: - Practical administration experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) including configuration, backup/restore, replication/high availability, monitoring and performance tuning.
- Python Development: - Python development skills for automation and service development.
- Shell Scripting: - Scripting skills for automation and system management using Bash and common Unix tooling.
- Linux Administration: - Solid skillset in configuring and maintaining Ubuntu/RHEL-like systems.
- Observability Technologies: - Knowledge of tools and practices for system monitoring and observability (Prometheus/Grafana/Alertmanager; metrics, alerting, dashboards).
- DevOps Methodologies: - Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices (automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps).
- Optional: - Experience in administering Windows Server environments (Active Directory, WSFC).
- Proven experience administering and maintaining Bitrix platforms: regular updates, backup/restore, performance tuning, troubleshooting and integrations.
