About the role

  • Lead the development and execution of global sourcing strategies that enable a resilient, cost-efficient, and sustainable supply network for Sobi’s clinical and commercial manufacturing
  • Combine a strategic and commercial mindset to evaluate and optimize sourcing decisions throughout the product lifecycle — from development to commercialization and life-cycle management
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Technical Operations, Legal, Tax, Finance, and other key stakeholders to negotiate and implement complex, high-value global contracts
  • Design and maintain a strategic sourcing roadmap, ensuring alignment with Sobi’s business goals and long-term vision
  • Contribute to due diligence efforts in business development projects, providing critical input on manufacturing and sourcing opportunities
  • Anticipate market trends and assess supplier capabilities to deliver data-driven sourcing recommendations that strengthen Sobi’s competitive edge
  • Lead business cases for Technical Operations projects, from financial approval through to contract execution, and continuously enhance sourcing processes and procurement policies to drive efficiency and innovation

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Chemistry, Science, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, in sourcing, procurement, or outsourced manufacturing
  • Proven success negotiating fact-based complex, high-value global contracts in a multicultural setting
  • Understanding of cGMP manufacturing and global regulatory standards
  • Experience in global, matrixed organizations and cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen (COGS and cost structures)
  • Expertise in global sourcing strategies and supplier performance management
  • Exceptional commercial mindset and business judgment
