About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner directly with Tax leadership to re-engineer core tax processes into automated, AI-first workflows
- Design and deploy agentic tools that reduce manual data gathering
- Build a unified data and knowledge layer that serves as a single source of truth for all tax-relevant information
- Own semantic layers end-to-end — model design, versioning strategy, verified query coverage, and accuracy iteration
- Automate tax filings, data reconciliation, and audit-ready reporting
- Push back on shortcuts that create maintenance debt and improve shared infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or a technical finance adjacent role
- Must have used an AI coding assistant as a primary development tool with daily usage
- Proficient in SQL and can write complex queries without looking up syntax
- Experience in shipping multiple Python applications that are actively maintained
- Comfortable working in Git (PRs, branches, code review)
- Familiar with fiscal year concepts and core revenue metrics (ARR, bookings, NRR)
