About the role
- Execute and support end-to-end operational audits over key business processes to identify areas of risk and evaluate controls
- Participate in risk assessments and design of audit programs addressing relevant risks
- Assist in all phases of internal audits including planning, fieldwork, close meetings, and reporting
- Design and develop data analytics to support operational audit activities, including building and automating audit tests and continuous monitoring
- Design, build, and execute data analytics for ERM initiatives, including KRIs and emerging risk trend identification
- Develop and deploy AI/ML models for risk detection, anomaly detection, and audit automation
- Work on data extraction, storage, transformation, and processing and generate outputs for visualization and analysis
- Create clear visualizations, dashboards, and narratives to communicate findings to auditors and business stakeholders
- Interact with management to identify appropriate data sources, validate data completeness and accuracy
- Collaborate with audit leadership to manage and evolve the data analytics ecosystem leveraging the Snowflake platform
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Accounting or Finance or relevant MBA
- Relevant work experience in internal audits, data analysis, business intelligence, or controls assessment
- 5+ years of relevant data analysis in audit, financial, risk management, or technology functions experience
- Experience in supporting the execution of SOX programs and control principles (e.g. COSO)
- Experience with cloud-based or software as a service (SAAS) companies; AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud certifications preferred
- Proficiency in SQL and Python; readability in Java preferred
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools
- Working knowledge of internal controls and auditing techniques
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms, global public companies or consulting preferred
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Authorization to work in the country of application (employment eligibility)
