About the role
- Be responsible for defining and delivering critical programs with broad organizational, business and technical impact
- Identify, manage and mitigate both technical and business risks that otherwise threaten the success of the efforts you work on
- Provide cross-functional leadership together with Engineering and Product Management, and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes
- Bring strong, data-driven and strategic technical judgment to decision making
- Build subject matter expertise in cloud computing, data engineering and transformation to inform risk identification and trade-offs
- Identify opportunities to improve execution to increase engineering productivity through tools and light-weight processes
- Work closely with leadership stakeholders to drive quarterly and annual planning, set ambitious goals and hold stakeholders accountable
- Educate and mentor the TPM and Engineering communities on program management best practices
Requirements
- 10+ years of demonstrated industry experience and expertise leading large complex engineering projects in cloud-based technologies
- Strong technical understanding and judgment to dive deeply into sophisticated software systems, work with stakeholders to develop solutions and identify technical risks and tradeoffs
- An ability to thrive in the context of ambiguity, dynamic business forces, and competing priorities
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product management, data science, customers, and other functions throughout the product life cycle
- Strong program management skills with technical and business acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adaptively interact with technical and non-technical groups at all levels of seniority
- Exceptional ability to build relationships, understand organizations and persuade others to accomplish program objectives while holding stakeholders to a high standard of accountability
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, consultation and organizational skills
- BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent practical experience
- Expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data
